Knitting Gifts

Happy holidays! I did way too much knitting this holiday season and pretty much nothing else. But I was able to dedicate some time into coming up with something new to post! I thought long and hard about what to give my knitting group for Christmas. Everyone has different tastes in yarn, you never know what books a person has and I certainly didn't want to knit something. So... I came up with some knitting notebooks. I put my new bind-it machine to good use. The books turned out wonderful and everyone loved them. I used paper and stickers from Cloud 9, filled them with pages about current projects, future projects, favorite websites/blogs/books and "notes" paper. I love how they turned out and may even make more for a local yarn store.

I hope to get back to more crafting along with my knitting. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and a very Happy New Year. May 2009 bring you everything you wish for.

Halloween Party

These are the fun little snack hands I made for my daughter's class party. They are just vinyl gloves filled with kettle popcorn using candy corn at the top of the fingers to look like fingernails. the kids loved them.

Sorry

I apologize for not blogging on a regular basis. Things are busy right now and I have been obsessed with knitting projects. Check out my knitting blog at www.knittingnerds.blogspot.com for some of my latest projects. After Halloween I plan to get back on track with some more paper crafts. Keep checking back, I promise I will get some new stuff up soon. Thanks so much for visiting my site and have a great day!

Frankenstein Box

Well, this was a fun project to make. This wonderful idea I got from the Chick'nScratch blog at http://www.chicnscratch.typepad.com/. I LOVE her blog, she always has wonderful ideas. I can't wait to use these for Halloween goodies. On my next one I will get the eyes better and put some scars on him. Try them... they are a lot of fun and easy to make.

I LOVE these bookmarks!

I saw everyone making these fun bookmarks on Spitcoast Stampers. I'm not sure who started it but I love them. This one was made with some leftover paper and 3D flower sticker. I used Stampin' Ups Sweet Serendipity on the top front and back of the triangle. It was fun to make and I look forward to making more for gifts. I used letter brads for the initials, I just cut the prongs off the back and tacky taped them down. I didn't want holes in the ribbon and sharp points sticking out the back. Hopefully they will stay on OK. Try one... you'll love it. I found the idea and template from http://acreativeneed.wordpress.com/.

Stamp Camp

I went to my uplines stamp camp today and made these cards. It is all I had time for, had to leave early for my sons soccer game (in the rain). Thanks to Chris, my upline for these great cards. All the cards are made with Stampin' Up products... I'm loving that new sock monkey set.

Thank You!

A big shout out to Judy from http://justjudyandherstamps.blogspot.com/ for all her help with my site. With her help I was able to add some links including music. THANKS Judy! Check out her site for some great ideas. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I'll be out enjoying the wonderful weather... being from Washington you need to enjoy it when you can before all that lovely rain starts again.
