I LOVE these bookmarks!

I saw everyone making these fun bookmarks on Spitcoast Stampers. I'm not sure who started it but I love them. This one was made with some leftover paper and 3D flower sticker. I used Stampin' Ups Sweet Serendipity on the top front and back of the triangle. It was fun to make and I look forward to making more for gifts. I used letter brads for the initials, I just cut the prongs off the back and tacky taped them down. I didn't want holes in the ribbon and sharp points sticking out the back. Hopefully they will stay on OK. Try one... you'll love it. I found the idea and template from http://acreativeneed.wordpress.com/.

Stamp Camp

I went to my uplines stamp camp today and made these cards. It is all I had time for, had to leave early for my sons soccer game (in the rain). Thanks to Chris, my upline for these great cards. All the cards are made with Stampin' Up products... I'm loving that new sock monkey set.

Thank You!

A big shout out to Judy from http://justjudyandherstamps.blogspot.com/ for all her help with my site. With her help I was able to add some links including music. THANKS Judy! Check out her site for some great ideas. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I'll be out enjoying the wonderful weather... being from Washington you need to enjoy it when you can before all that lovely rain starts again.

My First Diaper Pouch

OK, I couldn't figure out how these little puppies were made. Once I got the directions I felt silly at how simple they are. The idea for these was found on Splitcoast Stampers. I used some Berry Bliss double sided paper from Stampin' Up, the scallop punch and my circle of friendship stamps to stamp "thank you". Again, very simple... I was in a hurry to make 12 of them in an hour so I didn't get fancy. They are pretty cute and I plan to make more in a Halloween theme this year. This size was made with a 6x6 square, they are pretty small and only fit about 3-4 pieces of small candy (which was my intention). They can be made in any size needed though so try them out, you'll have some fun.
Please note: This was my first attempt so they are a little off center, I'm still working on perfecting the folds.

Knitting Notes

Made this altered notebook for a friend today. I found these great little notebooks at the dollar store (5 1/2 x 5 1/2). The paper is from Cloud 9, I wish my camera took better pictures the colors are really pretty. I used matching 3D stickers, some rhinestones and left over ribbon. I used the Stampin' Up spiral punch for the paper to fit the binding on the notebook. I LOVE this punch, it is officially one of my favorites. On the front I just used some $1 abc stickers I had found at Target and on the inside I used a "knit by" stamp in the corner of every page, I did omit the words though and just stamped the ball of yarn with two needles poking through. It was really easy and simple to make and I think it turned out really pretty. I'm glad she liked it.

Back To School

Wow, I can't believe summer is over and school is back in session. I'm shouting for joy (lol). Maybe now I will have some time to really use my stamps and get some cards and scrapbooking done. Keep checking back for new posts. Hopefully I can finally get some creative juices flowing and get some things done. Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Teacher Emergency Kit

I made two emergency kits last night for my kids teacher's. They are made out of shoe size boxes I found at Borders (very sturdy cardboard). I just decorated them with Cloud 9 paper and embellishments and chalked the edges, didn't have a lot of time so they are pretty basic. They turned out really nice and the teachers loved them. You can't tell from the photo but some of the flowers on top of the box are 3D glittery flowers. I also used some silver rhinestones on some of the flowers for a little extra pop. I loved how they turned out and they were so easy to make. Some of the things I put inside the box were a disposable camera, wipes, mini first aid kit, lotion, aleve, tums, lip balm, note pads, pens, pencils, CHOCOLATE (of course), mints, min sewing kit, kleenex and a few other mini items.
